Words

Sam, 12 April 2016

People buried under soil and trying to break through the surface (as a plant would in order to grow). The ground was tough and hard to break through. It was the wrong time to break through, the soil needed to be softer.

Felt that the people needed to wait and have that time of germination – ‘hidden in Christ’ came to mind. The time of germination is a time of intimacy that is unseen until God brings the people into fruition and the soil is soft enough to break through. Some people are trying to break into something new and good but before its right time

13 April 2016

1 Peter 5:6 ‘Humble yourself under God and He will lift you up in due time’ the time of germination is a time of hiddenness; a time of humility and close proximity with God.

He wants to grow something new and fresh and that has to come from a humble and pure place. The time of germination is a place of purity and intimacy. And at the right time the Lord will grow His church in His way and release new gifts and ministries.’

I had a dream that you said to me we were going to be staying at Stubbers for another 2 years but I dismissed it thinking that it would not be possible.

Mary, 13 June 2020

A big building with walls inside painted white and big windows along the way. Big windows on left side of the wall. Many windows on the building. Lots of light coming in.

God wants to encourage the church letting us know that He has many plans and new things are going to happen. Also new people will come into salvation and many lives will be changed. God’s using regen because of this [prayer week].

Michaela, December 2016

It began with the story of James’ gravy, that frustration that the delicious gravy was no more and what to do instead.  This brought to mind the story of the Wedding in Cana when the wine had run out and there was a sense of panic, with Mary the mother of Jesus effectively saying to Jesus “please do something”.  Jesus replies and says, “my time has not yet come”.

I felt that God was saying that regen would have a period of time when you will find yourselves in a place of really needing Jesus to do something and you will be saying “what are you going to do Lord?” His reply will be “my time has not yet come”.

When Mary hears this answer, she tells the servants “do whatever he tells you”.  I believe that as you hear Jesus’ answer, you will need to be patient and wait on God and be ready to ‘do whatever he tells you’ at the given time.  Like the story of the Wedding in Cana (and unlike the gravy story when Bisto had to step in!) the miracle that Jesus performed not only meant that the wedding was provided for when the water was turned into wine, but it was the best and most exquisite wine; well worth waiting for.

This will be your story too, that the best most exquisite provision/blessing is yet to come.  My reference to the talk that James did on Joy came in here with the deep joy that would result from what God will bring to you (imagining too the extra joy the guests must have felt with the abundance of wine at the wedding!).
